B.V. DOSHI Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi , commonly known as B.V. Doshi, is a renowned Indian architect, urban planner, and educator. He was born on August 26, 1927, in Pune, India. Doshi is known for his modernist designs, which are inspired by the traditional Indian architecture and the principles of sustainability. Doshi studied architecture at the Sir J.J. School of Architecture in Mumba i and then worked with the modernist architect Le Corbusier in Paris. He returned to India in 1954 and established his own architectural practice in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Over the years, Doshi has designed numerous buildings, including private residences, educational institutions, cultural centers, and government buildings.
